FOOD 4 WEEKENDS/MIDWEEK PANTRY

Small pantry intended to help families in need. Backpacks are provided to students in Platte County School District #1 on the weekends. Food pantry is open Wednesday nights from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Backpacks are distributed to the schools for the weekends. Delivery is available on an emergency-only basis.

Weekly opportunity to shop for items in the food pantry. Delivery services are available to homebound residents in Guernsey twice a month. Open Fridays from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and emergency access by appointment.

Qualifications
Service clients at 185% poverty or less. Applications are required for proof of income and stress address verification.

Volunteer Need
Volunteers are used to assist clients during Friday distributions. Items that are purchased through the grocery store require volunteers to pick up each order. Contact for more information.

Program provides weekend meals year round for children under the age of 18. Food bags are delivered to participating schools on Thursday morning around 9:00 a.m. and are taken home by children Thursday or Friday.

Bags of food are available for pickup. Each family receives two bags; one contains items such as noodles and cereal while the other contains two lbs of hamburger, two pounds of sausage, and game meat if the family will use it. Open Friday mornings from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Participants should ring the back door bell and someone will bring food out. Delivery is available on an emergency-only basis.
